Mix and Match Grain Bowl Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dry millet, quinoa or brown rice, cooked

  • Raw vegetables, chopped or grated (Whatever you have – carrots, celery, snow peas, onion, bell peppers and daikon radish are just a few of many options.) *You can also throw on leftover cooked vegetables like zuchinni, squash, green beans or corn.

  • Raw greens, chopped (Romaine lettuce, arugula, dandelion, baby kales – any mixed raw greens.)

  • Fresh herbs, chopped (Again, whatever you have on hand – try parsley, chives, basil or mint.)

  • Protien – Anything goes! (Leftover chicken, fish or beef, a handful of nuts, a scoop of leftover beans, or sauté some tofu.)

  • Sea vegetables, ground (sprinkle on to boost the mineral content.)

  • Sauces (Our favorites are soy sauce and ume plum vinegar, but use what you love – olive oil and lemon juice with a sprinkle of salt, a dash of you favorite salad dressing, or barbeque sauce. *Do your best to find sauces made without sugar or a bunch of other ingredients that are unknown or hard to pronounce.
