Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga involves a relaxed practice of passive floor poses that mainly work the lower parts of the body. These poses are held for longer periods of time to target and nurture the deep, dense connective tissues. Yin is known for cultivating mindfulness, increasing circulation in the joints, rejuvenating the energetic body, improving flexibility, and promoting an overall feeling of spaciousness and peace. This style of practice compliments a yang (active) style of yoga and can be a transformational internal experience.
