Yoga came into my life when I had just moved to Washington, DC in my mid twenties. Not only did I become a student at Tranquil Space, but also an assistant manager. The studio is where I found community in a strange and transient city. Before long I took the studio's 200 YTT and Tots and Tykes course. I loved learning about mindfulness, pranayama and the parasympathetic nervous system and for the little ones, brain development through movement.

In 2022, I became a reiki practitioner and Rapid Reprogramming of Emotional Stress Technique (RREST) Coach, which is a guided process to release negative emotions and thoughts, using  a mix of reiki, acupressure and positive self-talk.

Yoga is so much more than our asana practice and I love getting to share what I've learned.

I'm excited to  lead classes at Open Way and get to know everyone!
