We have changed our programing to include space for community-focused special events at our Sandusky studio.  We’re really excited to be offering yoga options to contribute to Thursday evening night life Downtown. Some of the events are free and some of them not, most events require pre-registration. Full details below photograph. Registration just below.

Face Forward
(February 27)

Yoga and Therapy Balls for the
Face, Neck and Head

with Sherrena Bilgen and Shannon Thomas
This fun class will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.  You will gain skills and tools to calm and tone the muscles of your face, neck and jaw.

Shannon will lead a segment using therapy balls to release jaw and neck tension.  Then Sherrena will guide a facial yoga practice which will include two different types of exercises:  poses that wake up sleeping muscles to lift the face and poses that relax over-worked muscles or tension.  

We will also be joined by Dr. Elizabeth Laffay and clinical aesthetician Amy Beatty of Elite Wellness Group, LLC. They will discuss non-toxic non-invasive skin care options and trialing photon light therapy.

Following class join your favorite teachers for tacos and treats at Oh Taco!

Join Erin for an all-levels flow class from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. This is a regular class that anyone can attend on their unlimited memberships or class passes. Drop-ins will be our regular price of $15. Following class you are invited join Erin at Oh Taco for some casual socializing and light yoga talk. Pre-registration for class is suggested, but pre-registration for tacos is required.

Climbing Wall Workout with
Yoga Cool Down

Have fun challenging yourself!  This super fun event is a collaboration between Paddle & Climb and Open Way Yoga. Climbing is excellent for upper body strength and pulling up on the hand holds is a movement pattern that tends to be missing from yoga - it is necessary for optimal mobility. We will meet at 6:00 PM at Paddle & Climb where we will spend about an hour taking turns climbing on the climbing wall. After climbing, we will travel a couple blocks to the OWY Sandusky studio for an upper-body focused yoga practice including some shoulder releasing practices with therapy balls.

Climbing and yoga beginners welcome! You don’t need to already be able to climb to participate, the experts at Paddle & Climb will be there to help.

Ever wondered why we chant Aum or Om t the end of yoga class? Join Brian, Sharon, Mallory and Tonya as we explore the enchantment of chanting. We will discuss the benefits of chanting and practice different styles. Whether you are brand new to chanting or you already have a chanting practice, tougher we will raise our vibrations and experience the powerful positive effects of group chanting

  • Note: The Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation encourages the use of Kirtan Kriya to prevent Alzheimer’s and dementia stating “clinical research has shown that practicing Kirtan Kriya for just 12 minutes a day can improve cognition and activate parts of the brain that are central to memory”
