In 2023, Tondra was offered the opportunity to enhance her mind, body, and soul lifestyle with an introduction to an Open Way Yoga certification. Along with everything else she incorporates in her life, she understands and values the foundation on which she stands: The Practice is the Practice, and she will forever Trust the Process.

From 2010-2017, she became a champion for the youth of Sandusky at the Nehemiah Center at the former Campbell Street school, annually providing educational programming for local children after school and during the summer.

In 2011, she was named Person of the Year by the Sandusky Register, a local newspaper.

In 2012, under President Barack Obama, she received the Presidents Volunteer Service Award for her contribution of her time to youth at The Nehemiah Center, recognition from the Ohio Senate of the 129th General Assembly for Outstanding Accomplishment for S.T.E.P. Intervention Services and The Nehemiah Center, and from the Uniquely Yours Organization, she received the Woman of Inspiration Award.

In January of 2018, she became the city of Sandusky Recreation Department’s 1st Youth Program Supervisor. In this new role, she continues to provide the emerging generation with dynamic and impactful programs in education, experiences, and opportunities that will enhance their journey to becoming holistically healthy and productive citizens.

I found a way to turn my passion for youth and recovery into my career and I love what I "get" to do!!!

In the fall of 2018, Tondra was the recipient of the Visionary Award from Visions Entertainment. From the United Runway Enterprise, she received the “I am my Community” Award.

In 2019, she accepted the Award of Excellence, Best of the Best Recreation Program for the State of Ohio from the OPRA - Ohio Parks and Recreation Association for the Midtown Supper Club, an out-of-school interest-based pilot program she created in January of 2019

In the 2018-2019 school year, she was given the opportunity to become a mentor for the Drug Free Club of America at Ehove Career Center and graciously accepted the chance to return as a Drug Free Leader mentor for the 2019-2020 school year.
